But first a confession. When I refer to the perils of talking through blackberry, text mail, Facebook, Twitter or email I am stretching the truth. I like those ways of friendly relations. Every culture through history has used technology. Technology is just the use of a tool. Hunting sticks in the stone age, coins fo the first commerce, biotechnology to make beer or the assembly line for cars. For this time of technological advice I am confronted with eight ancient wordsl "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10) God actually wants my attention. God wants your attention. Our information-rich life can breed an attention deficit towards God. Is "be still" the requried action to hear God? YES. There are some tools to use to help you be still. To be attention-rich towards God. "Be still and know that I am God"-interesting that little nugget from the Bible's Psalm 46 is short enough to be posted on any medium. Back to Video List |
