| Ideas, influences and discovery that has
shaped the journey of Dr. Maxine Hancock is the subject of a new 6 part
series that begins airing on Vision TV, Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. "Hancock
and Company" is an indepth interview program where the Alberta professor
probes contemporaries who have influenced her to find words for her own
ideas. Guests include poet Luci Shaw, editor Doris Anderson, a feminist
leader of the 60's and 70's, disabled advocate Walt Lawrence, UN peace
activist Douglas Roche, historical novelist Grace Irwin, and Western Report
founder Ted Byfield. Hancock feels the program "brings out a deep shared
humanity into what it is to be alive in this generation."
Shot on location with guests, the attractive program is the creation of award winning producer Karen Pascal of Windborne Productions in Markham, Ontario. Hancock and Company follows Pascal's Mandate for the Millenium, a 6 week series with Hancock, Dr. Tony Compolo, Brian Stiller and Vijay Krishnan which completes it's Tuesday night run on Vision December 9th.
