| After a more than 20 year absence from
weekly television, evangelist Bill Prankard of Ottawa is preparing a new
half hour weekly documentary style program for a September 1997 air date.
"Sea to Sea" will focus on reporting revival, renewal and evangelism. Footage
for many portions of the episodes has already been stocked, with Prankard
and his son Steve using a small, unobtrusive digital broadcast camera to
get an authentic, first hand contact with people in Arctic communities.
"There's been a serious financial commitment to do a quality production," said Marjonneke Tjerkstra of Northern Quest Entertainment. Hired by Prankard to produce Sea to Sea, Northern Quest is a newly formed company of experienced professional producers of secular and Christian TV. Prankard describes the series as a "Holy Ghost news program" and says now is the time to re-enter the world of television because revival and renewal is so strong in parts of Canada, it needs to be reported in a dynamic, and "anointed" manner.
